Improve your credit score getting credit limits shown Credit limits are often omitted on credit reports. Asking to have credit limits shown can help your credit score, assuming you are comfortably below your limits.

Credit limits are important because, in their absense, credit scoring software often assumes that your current balance, or the highest balance you've had, is your credit limit. That may make you appear to be maxed-out, so your credit score is lowered. It can be well worth while to check your credit report to see whether or not your creditors are reporting this information correctly. (If they're not, contact them!)
